Verify your product’s origin
The World Forest ID Evaluation Platform gives users access to our reference data and peer-reviewed origin models. Built from thousands of geo-referenced samples, it enables verification of the origin of timber and other high-risk commodities and can assess whether a sample is consistent with a specific claimed harvest area.
Our reference data is generated using non-proprietary, peer reviewed protocols and reproduced across multiple laboratories. This ensures that chemical measurements from traded products can be reliably compared with our stable isotope and trace element reference data. To make these comparisons possible, we work with laboratories to align preparation and measurement processes through a calibration programme. If you would like details of the laboratories and commercial providers that have completed calibration, please get in touch.
The platform is currently in beta testing and will formally launch in January 2026.
