Art Blundell

Art specializes in the nexus between violent conflict and natural resource management. He previously chaired the UN Security Council's inspections monitoring panel on Liberia and worked alongside the UN Special Representative on Business and Human Rights. Art's current role with Forest Trends involves forest governance and peace-building in Myanmar. He has assisted the European Commission in trade negotiations with Liberia, worked with the US Agency for International Development on illegal logging issues, and contributed to the Africa Development Bank's Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative. His expertise has been recognized by major media outlets. Art holds a BSc in Zoology from the University of British Columbia, a PhD in biology from Dartmouth College, and has lectured at Middlebury College, Vermont.
