Raúl R. Aguirre Vásquez

Raúl brings extensive expertise in planning agricultural projects. With 17 years of experience at the Bolivian Agricultural Research Centre (CIAT), Raúl has conducted research on natural forests, plantations, and agroforestry systems. He also serves as a technical-commercial facilitator for the Community Indigenous Agroforestry Association ‘Mankitukux Siborikix’ (meaning ‘Sowing Life’ in the Bésiro Chiquitano language). He holds a BA in Forestry Engineering and an MA in Management and Conservation of Forests and Biodiversity from the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE). Raúl is World Forest ID’s lead collector in Bolivia.
